Ci era gelo sulla zucca questa mattina!

There was frost on my pumpkin the morning! 24 degrees when I left my house for work. Everything covered in a thick white frost and snow flurries. The flurries have now stopped and the sun is shining….it is FRIDAY! My most anticipated day of the week.

One week from today I’ll be flying home to Kentucky…yeeha. I’m ready for a break from work this week. Yesterday I worked on a powerpoint presentation for next week. We have a bus load of folks coming from campus to visit us and we I have a presentation to do. I think I’ll have Orvieto’s Italian deli do the catering…yum oh. I stopped in the other night befroe I went home and bought a piece of cappucino cheesecake to take home…oh my gosh it was so good. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Isn’t it funny how cheesecake such a perfect food, it can be eaten sweet or savory…I prefer mine sweet! I really enjoy baking them and giving them away or bringing them to work. Perhaps I’ll make a caramel-apple cheesecake this weekend to bring in on Monday.

I had to wake up early this morning and I had a difficult time crawling out from under my sheets….Callie my furry friend and queen of my bedroom, keep trying to slowly nudge me out from the covers by purrrring intensely. I just love my cats! They are so patient and wait for me to return home after a long day of work. They can usually be found sitting on the windowsill waiting for me to pull into the driveway. They are always anxious to see me!
