Ok so last night was not the best night on TV. At 9pm I anxiously awaited for “Bizarre Foods” with Andrew Zimmern to start, when it started it was a RERUN…Southern USA. I had already seen this episode where he devours the famous Nutria….a groundhog-beaver type animal that lives in the bayou of Louisiana. Yuck! So I started channel surfing and got to thinking about other bizarre foods, I have eaten. Alligator, trotters (pigs feet) are among the most bizarre. On our trips to Italy I have witnessed the consumption of many bizarre local foods there……chicken’s feet, cow stomachs, intestines, and Cavalo (horse). Weird huh? But we are often quick to judge foods that are eaten around the world. I would never eat insects, snakes, bats or cavalo! Yeah I know, but I do have to draw the line somewhere don’t I?
Anyway how about Pork and Beans…….hehehehe
