Happy May Day to All

When I think about May Day I remember being a child growing up in the 1960’s. Our family did not have much but my mother and grandmother always made things “special”. Every May Day we would make homemade May Baskets filled with flowers and goodies and deliver them to the neighbors doors. If they were not home we would hang them on their door knob. This tradition is very common today. But every May Day I can’t help but remember making those tissue paper May baskets and filling them with treats, and wondering if I would get one in return. On this special day …… Happy Spring! don’t forget to hang a May Basket for your special someone! You will make them SMILE….

By the way…I am happy to report the flood waters are receding!
