Finally Spring is on it’s way here in Maine. A long winter to say the least. I spent 10 days in Kentucky recently and spring had already arrived in full bloom. Not quiet here yet, but green sprigs are sprouting up all around us and the rains have arrived to melt the snow. Although the ground is till somewhat covered with snow, we can see the vacant earth underneath. Mother Nature is bringing it back to life.
In other news I have now lost a total of 119 lbs so far and getting closer to my goal. I still workout at the gym around 6 times per week, but I still continue to have stomach/pouch problems. There are still items, I can no longer eat, and there are times when things won’t stay down. My surgeon assures me that I am fine and this problem may resolve itself. We are looking forward to Italy 2009 in June. We are just planning the details, daily itineraries, road maps and such. Eating in Italy will be different this year, but I believe I am up for the challenge. I remember last year at this time, wondering what it would be like eating and enjoying “things” for the “last time”. Well I do know, that that was an unfounded belief on my behalf. In fact there are only a few items, that I can no longer enjoy. But I’m ok with that. After all I still can enjoy espresso…..which is at the top of my list. What about “no sugar added” gelato? heheheehee
